Raglan Arts Weekend: Make it more than a getaway

Pack your bags and get ready — Labour Weekend is one of the best times to be in Raglan. The town will be buzzing with energy, the streets alive with visitors, and the local arts scene at its vibrant best. Raglan Arts Weekend is back, bringing together painters, sculptors and makers from across the region, all opening their doors to share their work. It’s your chance to wander, explore... and maybe even take home something special while getting to know the artists behind the creations.

As a major sponsor of the event, Rangitahi Peninsula is proud to play a part in this celebration of creativity. While many artists will welcome you into their own studios, here on the peninsula we’re hosting a collective at The Hut café. We’re delighted to be welcoming back Labour of Wild and Sarah Steed after their popular showing last year, alongside Mary Spacapan and Benjamin Grant who join us for the first time.

Just across the road at Unit 6 West Village, Brodie Reynolds will be displaying her astounding bold and colourful paintings. This newly built apartment is one of three which will be coming up for sale this month. The perfect opportunity to sneak a look, get a feel for the art and architecture, and to imagine how life here could look.

Start with a coffee at The Hut, wander through the artworks, and take the chance to chat directly with the artists. Learn more about their stories, their process, and what fuels their creativity. This is the magic of Raglan Arts Weekend: a deeper connection between artist and visitor, and a reminder of just how strong the creative spirit runs here.

Labour Weekend is also the perfect time to see Raglan at its liveliest. The town will be pumping with surf, music, cafés and galleries filled with people, yet only a short stroll away on the peninsula you’ll find open spaces, calm walking tracks and a slower pace. That balance is what makes living here so appealing. Close to the action, but with room to breathe.

Rangitahi has been carefully designed to reflect this lifestyle. From premium sections with sweeping views, to luxury apartments in West Village, to house-and-land packages for families, every option is about more than just a home. It’s about community, connection to nature, and living somewhere that feels thoughtful and intentional.

So, if you’re heading our way this Labour Weekend, make sure to add Rangitahi to your list. Experience the buzz, enjoy the art and see what life on the peninsula has to offer.

Stay a little longer. Raglan isn’t just for weekends, it’s a place to put down roots. From premium sections to luxury apartments and house-and-land packages, Rangitahi Peninsula is where a weekend getaway can turn into your everyday.
